There couldn't be a better time to buy with interest rates at record lows and most major economists agree that the market is near the bottom of its cycle.
Unlike many major cities, Spokane does not have enormous amounts of home inventories like other markets do (the major production home builders have yet to discover the Spokane market).
In the last 12 months, homes in the $200k to $400k price range (the median price of a home in Spokane is $204k) were sold, on average within 89 days of their listing date. Additionally, those homes sold within 1.5% of their asking price.
Many are focused on the major news outlets reporting of housing statistics from other cities where there is often a nearly one year supply of inventory - i.e. the average home is sitting on the market for 11 months or more. In contrast the Spokane Market is a tremendous opportunity for buyers. |
